I am an independent researcher, fact-checker, and editorial assistant for books, podcasts, and articles, always interested in collaborating on new projects.
My experience includes drafting research memos, conducting archival research, assembling outlines and timelines, building bibliographies, sourcing obscure documents, tracking down audio and video, copy editing, manuscript review and feedback, managing editorial workflow, and general fact-checking.
Some of the book and podcast projects I have served as the principal researcher and editorial assistant on include:
Five Bullets by Elliot Williams (Forthcoming; Penguin Press)
The Devil Reached Toward the Sky by Garrett Graff (August 2025; Avid Reader Press | Simon & Schuster)
When The Sea Came Alive by Garrett Graff (June 2024; Avid Reader Press | Simon & Schuster)
UFO by Garrett Graff (2023; Avid Reader Press | Simon & Schuster)
"The Ruby Ridge raid, the Waco siege at the Branch Davidian compound, the Oklahoma City bombing, the January 6 insurrection… all explosive moments in recent U.S. history. But connect the dots between these — and other — seemingly disparate, violent events, and you’ll answer some of the most existential questions facing the U.S. today: How did America get the far right so wrong? What will it take now to get it right?
"Hosted by Pulitzer finalist and investigative reporter Garrett M. Graff, Long Shadow’s second season explores how the modern domestic extremist movement grew from a fatal shootout on a mountain top in Idaho and led to a riot on the steps of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Crackling with rich archival sound and riveting interviews, this seven-episode limited series examines a thread of history that’s vitally relevant to our current political climate."
My work as the researcher on this series included: drafting detailed research memos for each episode, including timelines of key events and figures; participating in production meetings and providing feedback on script drafts; assembling lists of possible guests and experts to interview. Work For Long Lead
Served as the fact-checker for this seven-part investigative series published in June 2024.
"In 1888, wealthy landowners donated prime Los Angeles real estate to the U.S. government to house military veterans. ... This multi-part, multimedia feature tells the full story — from the property’s founding to the legal fight to take it back — of a centuries-spanning land war between the U.S. government, local forces, and generations of service members seeking a place to call home."
Worked as fact-checker on this print and photo story published in February 2024. (Read here)
"Since 2022, Russia has pounded southern Ukraine, attempting to make it uninhabitable by bombing villages, destroying water supplies, and wreaking havoc on its infrastructure. Amid the chaos, survivors have endured — including thousands of stray animals orphaned by the war. Record-setting powerlifter Anna Kurkurina has rescued and rehomed countless of these injured and unhoused pets, showing just one way how Ukraine’s “volonteri,” a loose network of civilian helpers central to the country’s fight for freedom, has bolstered its battle-worn government.
