Articles (including essays, reviews, and reporting) have appeared in various magazines, journals, and websites, including Time, Millennium Film Journal, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and Cineaste, where I am an assistant editor.

My work primarily concerns culture and mass media, including film, television, comedy, and books. Currently, I write a weekly column on late night television for Paste, where I also cover television and stand-up comedy.
