Book Research
Since 2021, I have worked as a researcher on several nonfiction book projects. Typically for this work, I join a project at the outset and work alongside the author until the project is finished. Work done on book projects includes:
Drafting research memos
Conducting cursory readings of primary and secondary materials
Archival research at a variety of public, private, and academic institutions
Assembling detailed timelines of key events
Literature reviews
Sourcing audiovisual materials
Copy editing
Reviewing manuscripts and providing feedback
Fact-checking
Drafting bibliographies and citations
Interested in collaborating on a project? Please be in touch! I'm happy to provide references upon request.
From 2021-2023, I worked full-time as a researcher for national security journalist and historian Garrett Graff, assisting with a range of projects.

Podcast & Think Tank Research
This seven-episode podcast series tells the history behind a number of key events—Ruby Ridge, Waco, the Oklahoma City Bombing, January 6th— to trace the rise of the American far right.
My work as the researcher on this series included drafting detailed research memos for each episode, creating timelines of key events, participating in production meetings and providing feedback on script drafts, and assembling lists of possible guests and experts to interview.

During the 2020 election cycle and for most of 2021, I worked as an analyst and researcher at Media Matters for America. Among my focus areas was domestic extremism and far-right actors. An archive of some of my public work can be found here.
